As happy as Whitney Houston is with the major success and turn-around as of late, she just doesn’t want to be around anything sad — and that includes sad songs!
On her new album, Neyo (pop star and collaborator on the upcoming album) reports that while Whitney has not been in the public eye as of late (cough*years*cough), she has nothing but hope and excitement for what the future holds for her and her loyal fans.
The R&B singer has been actively helping her put her new album together, exclaims that for once her album will not contain any downbeat tracks “because of the improvement in Houstons personal life”.
An interesting development for sure.

The Grammy’s were a great hit nation wide. Although there was much anticipation - almost bordering on anxiety from many points across the nation, all ended well. At least for most…
While Ms. Houston performed wonderfully and gave a heart felt performance reminicent of angels in the high heavens, other stars were singing to a different tune. Maybe the “Jail House Rock”???
Chris Brown and Rihanna did not likely have the best night at the Grammy’s, in fact they didn’t have a night at all at the Grammy’s being that both were a no-show. Yet, it was for good reason…
It turns out that there was quite the altercation between the two Pop stars that resulted in Rihanna looking like a inflatable punching doll. It was reported that she had two black eyes, a bloody nose, scratches and a bite mark on her arm. … A bite mark? Taking things a little to literal with your chewing gum commercials, Chris?
Anyways, we will see how the media plays out this subject matter, of course it is on the news every time I turn on my television, but for how long and at what cost? I want to see the other news stories around the world - not the tale of one particular case of domestic abuse regurgitated over and over albeit by a different E reporter.
Sigh… Life in Hollywood…

The hours just can’t pass quick enough!
It almost seems like getting concrete details on Whitney Houston is similar to trying to catch water in your hand (hard very hard).
As mentioned earlier, Whitney will be performing at Davis’ grammy show. Well, Davis has additionally gone ahead to announce that Whitney Houston’s new album will drop in March!
… Yet, it can’t be that simple, Artista (the record label) has stated that Whit is still in recording a a release date has not been scheduled as of yet.
*sigh*

It has been rumored that Whitney Houston is scheduled to performs a comeback with a song debut at music mogul Clive Davis’ annual Grammys pre-party.
The grammys are scheduled for February 8th, 8PM on CBS.

Whitney Houston is being sued by her step mother for supposedly ignoring the wishes of her late father.
In the lawsuit was filed in a federal court in Newark, the 45-year-old singer is accused of improperly keeping the proceeds of her father John Houston’s $1 million insurance policy.
Whitney’s stepmother Barbara Houston claims the money was meant to pay off the $723,000 mortgage on John’s Fort Lee condominium, in NJ, where she still resides. Whitney holds the mortgage on the home.
Barbara claims her late husband wanted the remaining insurance money to go to her.

I have some homework for everyone. Even though it is close to Christmas break for some, or maybe just winter break for others - the homework hasn’t stopped yet!
This week I want you to go and watch the Whitney Houston movie “The Preacher’s Wife” - starring Whitney Houston, Denzel Washington, Courtney Vance, Gregory Hines, Jenifer Lewis, Lionel Richie, et al.
The movie is not exactly new (at just over 12 years old) but it is still certainly fresh and tasty.
While the film was nominated for an Oscar award, it has receieved less than stellar reviews (5/10 on IMDB). Yet, one can’t always judge a book by it’s cover - especially is Ms. Houston has any affiiation with it!
In my opinion, this movie is no Bodyguard, but it is certainly good entertainment (buy, hey, logically every movie can’t be the greatest).

Those who miss watching the outrageous antics of pop diva Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown on Bravos Being Bobby Brown, may well get the chance to see the two music stars acting out again in real life if new rumors prove to be true.
Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that some inside Whitney Houstons inner circle are buzzing that the reformed songstress and her ex just might be reuniting. According to the story, Houston and Brown have been spotted across Georgia in recent days enjoying romantic dinners which has only fueled speculation that their tempestuous relationship is once again back on track.
However, the official word from Houstons camp that the now divorced couple have no plans to get back together, but remain good friends whose primary interest is the well-being of their daughter.’
Whitney Houstons relationship with Bobby Brown is among those discussed in a new tell-all book by music mogul David Foster.
According to Foster, he didn’t see even a “hint” of drug use by Whitney Houston in the years that worked with her but says that she did appear to have a something of an addiction when it came to her ex-husband.
“She and hubby Bobby Brown certainly seemed addicted to each other… When Bobby was gone, she’d begin to fade,” Foster writes.
