Whitney Houston is being sued by her step mother for supposedly ignoring the wishes of her late father.
In the lawsuit was filed in a federal court in Newark, the 45-year-old singer is accused of improperly keeping the proceeds of her father John Houston’s $1 million insurance policy.
Whitney’s stepmother Barbara Houston claims the money was meant to pay off the $723,000 mortgage on John’s Fort Lee condominium, in NJ, where she still resides. Whitney holds the mortgage on the home.
Barbara claims her late husband wanted the remaining insurance money to go to her.
